HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATIE

Our very much loved volunteer Katie, celebrated her 25th birthday and Prep K were very keen to celebrate this special event with her. We are so lucky to have Katie who has been helping in the Prep grades for several years now.

FLYING OUR KITES

If you have visited our grade any time in Term 3 you could not but have noticed our beautiful and colourful kites. They were a great eye catcher for all who have visited us. Sadly it was time to take them down so that we can start getting ready to make new things for our room. However we had the greatest fun taking our kites to the oval to fly them. The were just perfect and flew very well.

BIKE EDUCATION

Bike education was such fun. We went on a bus. First we had to learn all about the rules, before we had to put on our helmets to keep us safe. We had a school crossing, traffic lights, a roundabout and a railway crossing with flashing lights and bells! We had the best time there with no accidents, even though it was really hard to keep to the left hand side of the road. The best thing about Prep K was that nobody was booked for speeding!

OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW

What a busy Term 3 we have had. Watching the men and machinery demolish our old building was very exciting. We learned so many new words like 'the excavator', which cleverly picked up the biggest and tiniest pieces of rubble to put into the tip trucks to be trucked away.

The fences were a big problem as balls always seemed to go over them, and it was such a long way to the toilets! They are down for the moment, but it will not take long for them to go up again. The next stage of building will not be far away now.
