First thing each day we start the day by reading the Big Book together.
This is where we think about what good readers do, and we learn how we can work out new and tricky words in our reading.
Firstly we know that all good readers listen to themselves as they read, or they are just wasting their time.
We also know to look at the picture, look at how the word starts and at all times think what will make sense, as ways of starting to help us to read those tricky words.
We are becoming such skillful readers. Have a quick look at our story of the Gingerbread Man with a difference.
