GOOD BYE PREP K'S LITTLE TREASURES

Well here we are celebrating our last day together. What a wonderful journey we have shared, learning so much from each other and growing as little people and the most amazing learners. All you parents at home must be so proud of your little cherubs, I know that I am!

Here is Aden, Elijah and Brady enjoying some yummy hot chips which we had at the start of our break up party, which seemed to last most of the day!

Our wonderful parents provided so much yummy food Bailey here was having some difficulty making his choice.

Thanks to Mrs Verdon and Katie for helping to set up the party while we played games together with Mrs Krake and Mrs Salathiel.

After our party in the park we invited our Grade 5 friends over to exchange Christmas cards, and to thank them once more for all their support throughout the year.

Special thanks go to Mrs Elliot who inspired her Grade 5 children to be the perfect supportive friends that they were. Here is Mrs Elliot and her wonderufl grade at our second party for the day.

Special thanks to Melissa, Elijah's Mum for this lovely momento of my wonderful Little Treasures.

CHRISTMADS DRESS UP DAY

With only one day to go in Prep we had a very busy and exciting day with Christmas dress ups, and lots of Christmas activities.

As you can see we all looked very jolly stood here with Katie, even though much of our beautiful classroom has been taken down and sent home.

Here is Rheegan looking lovely in front of our Christmas tree, the last thing to be cleared away in preparation for our end of year clean up.

Even Mrs Krake got into the Christmas spirit. Here she is before school, stood next to her own Christmas tree at home.

Not all the day was just fun and games. We did do a bit of work. Here we are working hard doing our Maths. Notice the concentration and finger counting going on here.

Here we are busy making some 'pin prick' pictures. They are very effective when they are stuck to a nice sunny window.

The reindeer masks were a great hit. Thanks Rheegan for coming up with this great idea! We had such fun making them, and even more fun wearing them.

WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE!

Our Grade 5 friends came to our room today to give us a personalised book that they had written especially for each and every one of us. They took us off to the Library where they shared their books with us.

These books were written especially for us and about us as a very special Christmas gift from our Grade 5 friends.

The books were all beautifully illustrated and they must have taken a long time to do. Most books were written like a peom. We showed how clever we were at spotting the rhyming words.

The books were very carefully written at just the right reading level so that we could amaze our friends back by reading them back to them.

Thanks to all in Grade 5E for such a perfect gift.

OUR FINAL PERFORMANCE.

Today we did our final performance for the whole school. It was such fun doing it for our older brothers, sisters, cousins and friends.

A lovely Little Miss Muffet played by Madeleine.

Sam played a very scary spider.

There goes poor Jack rolling down the hill with Jill looking on played by Amy and Jake.

Arya watering her garden as Mary, Mary Quite Contrary.

Polly and Suky enjoying a cup of tea, played by Grace and Marley.

Elijah is sound asleep in the haystack as Little Boy Blue.

Ebony just can not find her pocket as Lucy Locket.

Carissa is really looking the part of the old woman who lived in a shoe.

Lydia was a great Old Mother Hubbard with her friend the crooked little man played by Brady.

Look at those girls fly as they try to escape Georgie Porgie.

Little did Mary know that Bo Peep has been looking everywhere for her sheep, played by Ellana.

Another great job by Rheegan narrating the story for us.

We danced.

We sang.

And we all had a great time!

IN THE LAND OF NURSERY RHYMES

What an exciting day we had today. Prep K joined up with Prep S and we finally did our production of "In The Land Of Nursery Rhymes". We actually started this grand plan back in Term 2 when we were still in the old building. We hoped to be the first to present something in the new hall. Sadly all went awry when the hall wasn't finished when we had hoped it would be, we lost a rehearsal space, Mrs Salathiel, our driving force, became ill. Finally it was time to get another item ready for the music festival and so we had to put this production on hold.

If you were lucky enough to see our production you would know that it was all well worth the wait.

We got dressed into our costumes in the classroom.

Amy was Jill from "Jack and Jill". Here she is with Olivia.

Grace looks fantastic with a very pretty Marley. They were Polly and Suky from "Polly put the kettle on."

Georgia was one of those poor girls that Georgie Porgie kept trying to kiss. Nissa was one of those naughty children that lived in a shoe!

Just look how excited we were as we lined up ready to go off to the hall. Here is Brady who was that crooked little man. Sam made the best spider chasing away poor Little Miss Muffet and Jake was Jack getting ready to go up that hill.

Bailey was a very good Little Jack Horner and Elijah was a perfect Little Boy Blue who fell fast asleep in the haystack.

Arya played Mary, Mary Quite Contrary and was looking very ready to go into her garden. Rheegan did an amazing job of narrating the whole production. Look how lovely Ellana looks. She was also Mary from "Mary had a little lamb."

Here we are getting into position in the hall. Can you spot that naughty Georgie Porgie in the middle there?

Those Kings Men from "Humpty Dumpty" were looking really smart too.

Olivia did such a fantastic job of Little Bo Peep.

Here are a few shots of the GRAND PRODUCTION. Little Bo Peep asked Old Mother Hubbard and the Little Crooked Man if they had seen her sheep, but sadly they could not help.

Poor Simple Simon had no money to buy that delicious pie from the Pie man.

Little Bo Peep is asking Mary if she has seen her sheep. Luckily she had as they had followed her to school just for 'show and tell!'

Finally we finished the day with a series of songs and dance. Maddison did a particularly good job dancing on her own as her partner was not here today. Well-done Maddison you look great!
