IN THE LAND OF NURSERY RHYMES

What an exciting day we had today. Prep K joined up with Prep S and we finally did our production of "In The Land Of Nursery Rhymes". We actually started this grand plan back in Term 2 when we were still in the old building. We hoped to be the first to present something in the new hall. Sadly all went awry when the hall wasn't finished when we had hoped it would be, we lost a rehearsal space, Mrs Salathiel, our driving force, became ill. Finally it was time to get another item ready for the music festival and so we had to put this production on hold.

If you were lucky enough to see our production you would know that it was all well worth the wait.

We got dressed into our costumes in the classroom.

Amy was Jill from "Jack and Jill". Here she is with Olivia.

Grace looks fantastic with a very pretty Marley. They were Polly and Suky from "Polly put the kettle on."

Georgia was one of those poor girls that Georgie Porgie kept trying to kiss. Nissa was one of those naughty children that lived in a shoe!

Just look how excited we were as we lined up ready to go off to the hall. Here is Brady who was that crooked little man. Sam made the best spider chasing away poor Little Miss Muffet and Jake was Jack getting ready to go up that hill.

Bailey was a very good Little Jack Horner and Elijah was a perfect Little Boy Blue who fell fast asleep in the haystack.

Arya played Mary, Mary Quite Contrary and was looking very ready to go into her garden. Rheegan did an amazing job of narrating the whole production. Look how lovely Ellana looks. She was also Mary from "Mary had a little lamb."

Here we are getting into position in the hall. Can you spot that naughty Georgie Porgie in the middle there?

Those Kings Men from "Humpty Dumpty" were looking really smart too.

Olivia did such a fantastic job of Little Bo Peep.

Here are a few shots of the GRAND PRODUCTION. Little Bo Peep asked Old Mother Hubbard and the Little Crooked Man if they had seen her sheep, but sadly they could not help.

Poor Simple Simon had no money to buy that delicious pie from the Pie man.

Little Bo Peep is asking Mary if she has seen her sheep. Luckily she had as they had followed her to school just for 'show and tell!'

Finally we finished the day with a series of songs and dance. Maddison did a particularly good job dancing on her own as her partner was not here today. Well-done Maddison you look great!
